* Inspect contents of box against your invoice, especially color & material.
Before beginning assembly make sure the car is protected from damage and that the rear window of the top is protected.
Check that the top is folded correctly and it is completely lowered.
Open top boot and place in sunshine or in a warm room at least 1 hour before fitting.
Important…Check that fasteners supplied match fasteners on the car. Early cars did not have tenax fasteners, they had all durable fasteners
Begin by centering boot cover over top.
Verify the position of the white marks that locate the center rear durable fasteners and if they are correct, remove the boot from the car, with an awl punch small holes and install the 2 durables with the tool provided. If the marks are off, mark the new position of the 2 rear center durable fasteners approx. ¾” from the edge of the boot. Punch small holes and install the 2 center durable fasteners with the tool provided then re-install the cover on the car by snapping to the 2 durable studs.
Next, with the 2 center durables snapped in place, begin by gently pulling the material towards the side of the car. Check that the white marks on the boot align with the studs on the car. If they do, cut or punch a hole slightly smaller than the Tenax fastener shank and install the next outward fastener use long nose pliers to tighten. Mark and install each of the remaining Tenax fasteners alternating from side to side until all the fasteners are installed.
Attach the center deck hooks
and the installation is complete.
