The following information is supplied as a customer service guide only. World Upholstery & Trim recommends professional installation of all our products. No guarantees are granted with regards to the use of this guide.

Tools required:

  • Hole Punch
  • Exacto Knife
  • Marking Pencil or Chalk
  • Protective Blankets
  • Long Needle Nose Pliers
  • Awl

General Preparations:

  1. Inspect contents of box against your invoice, especially color and material.
  2. Before beginning assembly make sure the car is protected from damage and that the rear window of the top is protected.
  3. Check that the top is folded correctly and it is completely lowered.

Pre-Installation Preparations:

  1. Open the top boot and place in sunshine or in a warm room at least 1 hour before fitting.
  2. Check that fasteners supplied match fasteners on the car. Early cars did not have tenax fasteners, they had all durable fasteners

Boot Cover Installation:

  1. Begin by centering the boot cover over the top.
  2. Verify the position of the white marks that locate the center rear durable fasteners.
  3. If they are correct, remove the boot from the car. If not, mark the new position of the 2 rear center durable fasteners approximately from the edge of the boot then remove the boot from the car.
  4. With an awl, punch small holes on the marks and install the 2 durables with the tools provided.
  5. Re-install the cover on the car by snapping to the 2 durable studs.
  6. Next, with the 2 center durables snapped in place, begin by gently pulling the material towards the sides of the car.
  7. Check that the white marks on the boot align with the studs on the car.
  8. If they're not aligned, adjust the marks.
  9. Cut or punch a hole slightly smaller than the Tenax fastener shank on the marks and install the next outward fastener. Use long nose pliers to tighten.
  10. Mark and install each of the remaining Tenax fasteners alternating from side to side until all the fasteners are installed.
  11. Attach the center deck hooks and the installation is complete.
