World Upholstery & Trim manufactures "cut and bound" carpet sets that will allow you to replace all the original carpet in your BMW "New Class" and E9 Coupes. "Cut and bound" carpet sets essentially pre-cuts the carpet material based on the original layout of the carpet being reproduced to allow for easy installation. The visible edges of the carpet are bound in matching or contrasting vinyl. We can manufacture these carpet sets using either the original carpet material (usually imported), other imported carpet materials or a more economical domestic (American) carpet material. As with any soft trim, some trimming may be required and while this can easily be installed by an amateur restorer, we still recommend professional installers.

Carpet F.A.Q.s

The "New Class" coupes (2000C/CS) had no significant changes in 5 years of productions. The E9 coupes are significantly different from the "New Class" coupes but also did not change much in 8 years of production. The only change is when they added carpet in the rear/package tray behind the rear seats when they switched from the 2800CS to 3.0CS/CSi. It used to be covered in vinyl.

These cut and bound carpet sets include all the carpet pieces necessary to completely replace all the original carpet in your BMW "New Six" or E9 Coupe. They are designed for easy installation with vinyl binding on the visible edges. These bindings match the color of the carpet.

The carpet in the trunk area is not included in the interior carpet set. It is sold as a separate trunk mat.

These carpet sets can easily be installed by an amateur restorer. But due to factors like complete removal of the seats and removal of the old carpet, we still highly recommend the use of professional installers. These kits are "made-to-order" meaning we do not keep them in stock and are placed in the production line only when an order is placed. Depending on the current mass of orders in the production line (varies seasonaly), it can take 7-10 business days before it can be manufactured and shipped. Make sure to add shipping time when calculating the number of days it will take for the seat kit to reach you after ordering.

These 1-pc trunk mat carpet can replace the original trunk carpet in your BMW CS Coupe. There are no real installations involved as these carpets are designed to be removable to gain access to the area underneath. The vinyl binding around the trunk carpet can matches the color of the carpet. The tool holder/pocket that affected the trunk carpet was added with the introduciton of the 3.0CS but was not included with the lighter 3.0CSL.
